Interested in learning how things work?
The majors in this area of focus each represent an emphasis on some combination of biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics and computing.
Limited space programs
Prospective Ohio State students interested in these majors should indicate so on their application to Ohio State.
Current Ohio State students who are not in the premajors for these majors cannot pursue these majors. (This College of Engineering policy started in Autumn 2023. Read more here.)
- Aerospace Engineering
- Biomedical Engineering
- Computer Science & Engineering / Computer Information Science
- Mechanical Engineering
Space available programs
These majors are open to both prospective and current Ohio State students. Current students need to have a 2.0 Ohio State GPA and completion of or eligibility to take MATH 1151 in their first term in the major to declare.
